Every anamal is independently tested to ASTM F963 (US), EN 71 (Europe) and AS/NZS ISO 8124 (Australia/NZ) toy safety standards — dropped, twisted, pulled and checked for everything from lead to formaldehyde. Result: nothing nasty detected, and they survived the twisting.
